about

Kim was born into Memphis blues, spent her teenage years in a Cincinnati pop trio, then married a German and moved overseas, where she enjoyed a successful run as a singer/songwriter in Europe. Kim exited the full-time music scene to settle down in Columbus, Ohio and start a family, and shortly afterward her husband suffered a massive brain aneurysm that left him severely disabled. As her world was thrown into chaos, Kim began to write music again and a collection of songs about grief and trauma emerged. Her electronic pop album STAGES pairs bright arrangements with heartbreaking lyrical content, a juxtaposition that reflects a human truth - Hurting people often look fine on the outside. STAGES was produced by Matt Langston (eleventyseven, The Jellyrox, The Fast Feeling) at Rock Candy Recordings in Asheville, NC. The album features Columbus nerdcore rapper AJB, Christian rap veteran John Reuben, and gospel R&B crooner Nicholas Sherrod.
